How we handle your information
Recoverion is built around a sensitive topic. We take your privacy seriously and keep things simple: we collect as little as possible, we do not sell anything, and we are clear about what goes where.
Minimal collection
We only collect what is needed to run the service.
No selling
Your information is never sold or rented to anyone.
No account required
Every tool and article is accessible without signing in.
01 What we collect
Most visitors to Recoverion do not share any personal information at all. Reading an article, using the coverage checker, or browsing the directory does not require a name, an email address, or any identifying detail.
The only personal information collected is what you choose to submit directly.
- Contact form submissions: name (optional), email address (optional), and the message you write. This is used only to respond to your inquiry.
- Optional email sign-up: if you choose to receive a summary from a tool (such as the coverage checker), your email address is collected for that purpose only.
- Automatically collected technical data: standard server logs may record your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This data is used only for security and performance monitoring.
We never collect sensitive health information
Recoverion does not ask for and does not want your diagnosis, treatment history, insurance ID, Social Security number, or any other sensitive personal or health data. Do not submit this kind of information through any form on Recoverion.
02 Analytics
Recoverion uses Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console to understand how pages are being used: which articles are read, which tools are opened, and how visitors navigate the content. This helps improve the guidance on offer.
Google Analytics collects anonymized, aggregated data. It does not identify individual visitors by name. The data is used for reporting purposes only and is not shared with any commercial third party.
| Tool | What it collects | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | Page views, session duration, device type, general location (country/region level) | Understand which content is useful; improve navigation |
| Google Search Console | Search queries that led to Recoverion, click-through rates, indexing status | Improve search visibility and content relevance |
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
03 Cookies
Recoverion uses a small number of cookies. None of them are used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
| Cookie type | Purpose | Set by |
|---|---|---|
| Analytics cookies | Track anonymized page views and session data for Google Analytics | Google Analytics 4 |
| Functional cookies | Remember preferences within the current session (such as tool progress) | Recoverion |
| Security cookies | Protect forms from spam submissions | Recoverion / hosting platform |
Recoverion does not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or third-party tracking for commercial purposes. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time.
04 Email handling
Email addresses submitted through the contact form or an optional tool sign-up are used only for the purpose stated at the point of collection: to reply to your message, or to send the specific resource you requested.
- Email addresses are not added to any marketing list without explicit opt-in
- Email addresses are not shared with or sold to any third party
- Contact form submissions do not result in unsolicited follow-up messages
If you opt into an email list and later want to be removed, contact us at any time and we will remove your address promptly.
05 Third parties
Recoverion does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information with any third party. The only third-party services in use are those needed to operate the site securely and understand how the content performs.
| Third party | Role | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Hostinger | Web hosting and server infrastructure | Standard server logs (IP, request data) |
| Google Analytics 4 | Anonymized traffic analytics | Anonymized usage data; no personal identifiers |
| Google Search Console | Search performance monitoring | Aggregated search query and click data |
| Email / form service | Routing contact form submissions | Name and email if provided; message content |
Treatment centers listed in the Recoverion directory are independent organizations. Clicking through to a center’s own website is subject to that organization’s privacy policy, not Recoverion’s.
06 Your rights
You have the right to know what personal information Recoverion holds about you, to request that it be corrected or deleted, and to withdraw any consent you have given. Because Recoverion collects very little personal data to begin with, most visitors have little or nothing on file.
- Access: you can request a copy of any personal data held about you.
- Correction: if information held is inaccurate, you can ask for it to be corrected.
- Deletion: you can ask for your data to be deleted from our records.
- Opt-out: you can unsubscribe from any email communications at any time.
To make any of these requests, use the contact page. We will respond within a reasonable time and at no charge.
07 Changes to this policy
If Recoverion’s privacy practices change in a material way, the updated policy will be posted here with a new effective date. For significant changes, a notice will appear on the homepage. Continued use of Recoverion after a policy update means you accept the revised terms.
The current version of this policy was last updated in May 2026.
